  1.                             SOFTCAT    Installation
  2.  
  3.   Batch files are supplied to install SOFTCAT onto floppies and Harddrives.
  4.   SC5A.EXE and SC5B.EXE are self extracting, you can place them in directory
  5.   of your choice and then execute them or use the Bat Files.
  6.  
  7.   HARD DRIVE:
  8.   Insert the distribution diskette into drive A and execute HINSTALL drive:
  9.   (drive: is the drive you wish to install SOFTCAT on ie.  C:,  D:, etc.).
  10.   The batch file  creates a  directory  called  SOFTCAT and copies all files
  11.   in to SOFTCAT directory. You may then execute SOFTCAT by typing C: <enter>,
  12.   CD\SOFTCAT <enter>, SC5 <enter>.

  14.   FLOPPY DRIVES:
  15.   On a floppy system have 2 blank formatted disks ready, place distribution
  16.   disk in drive A and execute FINSTALL, you will then be prompted to insert
  17.   the 1st blank disk into drive B.  After it has finished copying the files
  18.   to the  1st disk  you will be prompted to insert the  2nd blank disk into
  19.   drive B. When all is finished, label the 1st disk as PROGRAM DISK and the
  20.   2nd disk as  DATA DISK.  You may then execute the program by  placing the
  21.   PROGRAM  disk into drive A  and the  DATA DISK  into drive B  and  typing
  22.   SC5 <enter>.  MAKE FRQUENT BACK UPS OF YOUR DATA DISK AND A COPY OF THE
  23.   PROGRAM DISK!!!!
